Early childhood Director

Position Description
The role of the Early Childhood Director is to provide leadership and support to the Early Childhood area of Summit Park Church. This is a position that will require the ability to communicate with parents, kids, serve team leaders/members and first-time guests. It will also require the ability to be creative, think strategically, and to have a friendly and welcoming personality. The big win for this role is to lead leaders as they create an environment for kids that is safe, Jesus centered, safe and fun.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee early childhood area during services and events
• Roster volunteers for services and events
• Recruit, train and assimilate new volunteers
• Lead ongoing training events for early childhood volunteers and serve team leaders
• Manage and oversee classroom capacities
• Manage readiness of classrooms for services
• Oversee and develop classroom curriculum

Skills Required

• Must be able to lead well, be outgoing, friendly, and able to handle confrontation.
• Must be able to communicate proficiently to kids, parents, and volunteers.
• Exhibit good judgment, honesty, integrity, responsibility, and punctuality through the utilization of professional work standards.
• Must be able to use or learn to use planning center for scheduling volunteers.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality in dealing with people.

• Commit to regularly attend weekend services and First Wednesdays at Summit Park Church
• Set appropriate boundaries in life and ministry to protect his or her character and integrity.
• Faithfully give to the ministry of Summit Park Church 10% of your gross income
• Look for opportunities to reach those who are far from God.
