BUILDING THE NEXT GENERATION

The Forward Campaign is building the next generation. Over the next two years, we will build the new permanent home of Summit Park Church. This new location will be a hub for reaching young people and families in both Lee’s Summit and the surrounding communities.
It will not be just a building;  it will be an investment in future generations.

Staff offices will be upstairs in the ministry center

Our construction team is moving as fast as possible! We want to make sure we do it right though! Our move in date is looking to be more like March of 2022.

What are some of the options the ministry center will provide?

The Ministry Center will have counseling offices for anyone who needs it. This could include marriage counseling, new believers, counseling for children etc.

We want our Students to be involved in the weekend services! Our students programming will continue to be on Wednesday evenings.

Is there plans to expand the auditorium so it can include both campuses?

The Auditorium in phase 1 will hold roughly 700 adults per service. That will hold both campuses with some room to grow! In phase 2 we will add an additional auditorium that will seat 1200 adults!

Are we building a baptismal in the auditorium, will there be a dedicated space for those services?

We have our baptisms in the auditorium 2 times a year and make it an event for the whole church!! We use portable tanks and bring in hot water to make it comfortable.

What phase is the coffee shop planned for?

We would like to have the coffee shop open during phase 1! Timing isn’t solidified yet.

Coffee shop and community services areas, staffed by volunteers or staff from SPC or outside resources from the community?

Our coffee shop will probably be operated by local coffee shop looking to expand.

Will we have an altar where we can go up and pray like LSF had?  Would love to see that!??

People are always welcome to pray at the front of the auditorium during the worship portion of our services!

Could the parking be done in the water pervious material to address some of the water drainage issues?

We are working with Civil engineers to find the most effective way to speak to our parking expansion with water drainage in mind!

Are there opportunities to help with the construction etc. projects?

We will have opportunities to help see our new home become a reality! Some of that may be landscaping, work on the ministry center, and most definitely moving in.
