steps to volunteer

1. attend a connect night

Connect Nights are a great place to hear about all the areas you can get involved in.

2. become a partner

At Summit Park Church, we believe that the church is best when we’re all in! That’s why we encourage people who want to volunteer to become Partners and commit to getting connected and involved in a few specific ways. Our hope for everyone is for them to Live a Jesus-centered life, Connect in community, Serve on a team, Invite your friends, and Give back. Partners agree to our beliefs, which can be found below.

3. join the team

After attending a Connect Night and becoming a Summit Park Partner, our hope is that every Partner/Volunteer would be connected in serving in the area that is the most life-giving and best suited for them!  Get a head start and check out all the areas to serve in below!

Find your place on the team

At Summit Park Church, we believe that we are at our best when we are involved in ministry and serving others. When we refresh others, we too are refreshed. Below are some different ministry areas and how you can get involved.

Help make guests feel welcome by serving as outdoor hosts, refreshment table hosts, Welcome Center hosts, new visitor hosts, kids check in hosts, and auditorium hosts.

"After beginning to serve on the hospitality team at SPC, one thing I have come to know is that, although simple, being a member of this particular team is one of the most important jobs I may ever have."

-Ryan Walter

Help run the different audio and visual components for weekend and midweek services, as well as events.

"What I found in the Production Team was a sense of family and community; a team of people who not only encourage me to be my best self, but who have always shown grace when I feel like I’ve missed the mark. I'm so happy to be a part!"

-Cindy Jarvis

Help invest in the next generation by assisting, leading, and teaching in the Summit Park Kids area with infants to 5th grade children.

"By serving in Kids I can assure parents that their kids are going to be well taken care of and they, in turn, have the ability to connect with the Lord and grow in their faith. And I love the opportunity of introducing and connecting the next generation to God!"

-Mollie Smith

Film, edit video, shoot photos, write, social media strategy, website development and design

"Creating art to glorify the ultimate Creator has given me the opportunity to use my gifts along with our creative team. This team has helped me to understand the beauty of serving in community."

-Ty Hester

Help give direction and welcome people in the parking lot.

"Volunteering has been fun and helped me make connections and new friendships. I look forward to serving on the parking team every weekend and I like that I can help the church."

-Eric Tangblade

Turn around

Help get the auditorium ready in between services for the next service.

"Serving on the turn-around team has given our family of 6 a sense of belonging and has allowed us to meet some great people along the way! We are thankful that our entire family can serve together and our younger children are discovering that even they have a place to serve, and that no job is too small or unimportant."

-Scott and Kerri Akeson

Help prepare the facility for services and events.

"God has stood, walked and carried me through the hardest and happiest of times and, for me, serving has allowed me to not only grow in my relationship with God, but has given me friends to grow with!"

-Nicole Watkins

Help invest in the this generation through leading small groups, helping with One Nights and other events.

"Students are world changers, and it's been amazing to be able to invest in them and watch them begin to realize that God wants to use them for amazing things."

-Brent Thomas

Be a part of the music and worship team for our services.

"Being a member of the Worship Team has been incredibly rewarding to me. I’ve made close friends and get to help create music that connects people with God."
