The role of the Custodian at Summit Park Church is an important role. A clean and well-functioning facility is essential to fulfilling the mission of the church. The custodian is responsible to ensure that the Church facilities are clean, ready and at their best for services and events. This is done by providing ongoing custodial and maintenance support for the facilities and grounds. This role requires an attention to detail, willingness to work hard, and the ability to problem solve.

- Actively work to keep all facilities Clean and New in appearance
- Complete custodial work as scheduled thoroughly and with an attention to detail
- Provide on-site coordination for repairs and maintenance contractors
- Complete weekly inspections of the facility to look for functionality and cleanliness
- Ensure that all supplies necessary for cleaning and the normal operations of the church are ordered and on hand when needed
- Oversee the repair of any applicable equipment such as vacuums, furniture, auditorium chairs, etc.
- Serve on call as needed for Facility emergencies
- Provide facility support for additional events when needed such as weddings, rentals, etc.
- Adjust and or work additional hours when needed based on the needs of the ministry
- When called upon help with tasks and duties which might not be part of the normal position description

- Represent a growing personal relationship with Christ
- Set appropriate boundaries in life and ministry to protect his or her character and integrity
