DAY 4
Verse of the Day:
1 Corinthians 1:8-9 NLT
He will keep you strong to the end so that you will be free from all blame on the day when our Lord Jesus Christ returns. 9 God will do this, for he is faithful to do what he says, and he has invited you into partnership with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
S.O.A.P.
In today’s reading, we see a great example of a king who followed after God’s plan, and a few examples of kings who did the opposite. We are reminded that when we follow God’s plan for our life, not only can we be satisfied, but He keeps us strong as we do. He is faithful!
SCRIPTURE
2 Chronicles 35:1-36:23
1 Corinthians 1:1-17
Psalm 27:1-6
Proverbs 20:20-21
OBSERVATION
What do you observe from today’s reading? (Questions you have, words you don’t understand, things that stuck out)
Did you notice how things were dramatically different when the kings in 2 Chronicles obeyed God versus when they did what was evil in His sight?
APPLICATION
How can you apply today’s reading to your life? (Action steps, changes in behavior, shifts in priorities)
Now that we know that following God’s plan is what we need to do, even when it’s difficult, what can we learn from today’s reading in terms of our own personal relationship with Him?
PRAYER
Ask God for specific direction for your life.
Ask Him for the strength to follow Him no matter what the cost is.
