EASTER SERVICES - SATURDAY: 4 & 5:45pm - SUNDAY: 9 & 10:45am

DAY 5

Verse of the Day:
1 Corinthians 1:18
The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God.

S.O.A.P.
In today’s reading, we see that acting on the wisdom that only God can give us is always the right choice. We see this with King Cyrus as he rescues the Jews who were in Babylonian captivity. We also see Paul encouraging us to value what the Lord says over ourselves.

SCRIPTURE
Ezra 1:1-2:70
1 Corinthians 1:18-2:5
Psalm 27:7-14
Proverbs 20:22-23
OBSERVATION
What do you observe from today’s reading? (Questions you have, words you don’t understand, things that stuck out)
Did you notice that the authors of each book we read out of today all placed an emphasis on seeking the Lord instead of ourselves?
APPLICATION
How can you apply today’s reading to your life? (Action steps, changes in behavior, shifts in priorities)
In your current context, what do you need to seek the Lord for? What do you need Him to speak into?
PRAYER
Ask God to give you wisdom beyond your own.
Ask God to humble you so that He is who you boast in.
