DAY 8
Verse of the Day:
1 Corinthians 4:20 (NLT)
For the Kingdom of God is not just a lot of talk; it is living by God’s power.
S.O.A.P.
All throughout today’s reading there seems to be a common theme of experiencing God’s favor. As you read, you will begin to notice that God gives power and favor to people who make it a priority to step into the things He’s called them to. He won’t call you somewhere and then leave you hanging!
SCRIPTURE
Ezra 7:1-8:20
1 Corinthians 4:1-21
Psalm 30:1-12
Proverbs 20:28-30
OBSERVATION
What do you observe from today’s reading? (Questions you have, words you don’t understand, things that stuck out)
What do you notice about the favor of God in both David’s life (from Psalms) and Paul’s perspective (1 Corinthians)?
APPLICATION
How can you apply today’s reading to your life? (Action steps, changes in behavior, shifts in priorities)
As we read about remaining faithful to God, stepping into what He’s called you to do, and walking in His power, what does this look like for you?
PRAYER
Ask God to show you what He wants from you.
Ask Him for the strength to be obedient.
Ask Him for favor and power that can only come from Him.
