DAY 9
Verse of the Day:
Ezra 8:23 (NLT)
So we fasted and earnestly prayed that our God would take care of us, and he heard our prayer.
S.O.A.P.
Today we have a perfect blend of scripture reminding us of how imperfect we are, but how God’s grace remains the same. The Lord will convict our hearts and it is important to obey Him when He does. He will always meet us with grace we don’t deserve!
SCRIPTURE
Ezra 8:21-9:15
1 Corinthians 5:1-13
Psalm 31:1-8
Proverbs 21:1-2
OBSERVATION
What do you observe from today’s reading? (Questions you have, words you don’t understand, things that stuck out)
What are some things that are common about what Paul was saying in 1 Corinthians and Ezra’s experience?
APPLICATION
How can you apply today’s reading to your life? (Action steps, changes in behavior, shifts in priorities)
We know that God is displeased with our sin and that it only does harm. At the same time, we see His grace and mercy. What does this mean for your life as you read today?
PRAYER
Ask God to convict you of the things He wants you to change.
Ask Him for the strength to change those things.
